Happy Birthday

It's kind of a strange feeling. A birthday is supposed to be a happy day, a time of celebration. But today, our youngest son is spending his first birthday in an orphanage with no one to tell him how much they love him on his special day. It was probably a day no different than any other day for him. On the bright side, this will be the last birthday he ever spends without a family, a cake, candles, presents, lots of hugs and kisses, the last birthday when his day isn't a special day. In the meantime we pray that we are able to get him and our other children home as soon as possible.
